What is Kinesiotape?
In the last 15 years, kinesiotape has gone from a relatively unknown practice used solely by athletes to a widely used tool you can easily find in stores and its popularity isn't without reason. Kinesiotape was original invented by chiropractor Dr. Kenzo Kase to both enhance athletic performance and the recovery from injuries without the use of restrictive bracing or immobilization. The use of kinesiotape was found to aid muscle movement, reduce swelling and inflammation and provide support to joints and muscles. At Chiropractic with a Twist, we apply taping to support most injuries especially in the back and limbs so our patients can continue their day without letting their injury slow them down.
